Food & Nutrition: A candidate must pass in chemistry at HS or equivalent examination and should take Chemistry as one of the elective subjects.
Commerce (Marketing (MRTA)): Accountancy / Business Economics including Business Mathematics / Business Organization / Mathematics / Economics / Statistics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Business Studies/ Office Management and Secretarial Practice/ Elements of Cost Accountancy and auditing/ Bookkeeping/ Business mathematics/ Cost Accountancy and Principle of Management    as related subjects.
Economics: A candidate must pass in Mathematics at HS or equivalent examination and fulfill the criteria for admission.

   1. All admissions will be made under online merit based admission system in UG level for the academic year 2017-18 and all admissions are provisional.
   
   
   2. Admission to B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. General and Honours courses will be done on the basis of the candidate having passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by affiliating University and other criteria as stated by the institution.
       
   3. Separate application forms must be submitted for separate combination codes.
       
   4. Admissions WILL BE MADE STRICTLY ON THE BASIS OF MERIT.
       
   5. Students seeking admission are required to pass at least four subjects excluding Environmental Science, each paper being of at least 100 marks. He / She must also pass in English having full marks not being less than 100 as per West Bengal State University guideline. In case of practical based subjects the students must have to pass separately in theory and practical parts.
       
   6. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding up the marks of best four subjects along with the marks secured in the "subject" (Honours Sought For) or "related subject" as the case may be.
       
   7. Migration certificate is to be submitted by the students passing from Boards of other states.
       
   8. Online Fee of Rs. 200/- + Bank Processing Fees per application form must be submitted to the respective Bank Branches strictly within stipulated date.
       
   9. Merit List will be published only in the college website (www.brsnc.org).
       
   10. Students are to take a print copy of the Challan if they are enlisted in the merit list & submit the full admission fee to the respective Branch of HDFC/ICICI Bank within 48 hours of the time of generation of the Challan.
        
   11. Students should visit the college on stipulated date for verification of Original Testimonials and collection of pay receipt from College Cash Counter.
        
   12. After submission of admission fee to the HDFC / ICICI Bank Branch and with the authorized copy of Challan, they can collect the pay receipt from the college office within 2 working days from the date of submission of admission fee in Bank.
        
   13. Any kind of tampered/false statement provided by the students will be treated as serious offence and will lead to cancellation of admission and no money will be refunded in this situation. Also, no refund of admission fee will be entertained if a candidate seeks TC from the college after being enrolled in the college student database and have obtained a roll number from the college.
        
   14. Students, who have passed from fake educational boards according to the list of fake educational boards provided by the affiliating University, will not be considered for admission.
        
   15. Candidates must upload scanned copies of original Marksheet of HS or equivalent examination, original Caste/PWD Certificate or Original Acknowledgement slip issued by competent authority not below the rank of SDO, Age proof certificate and latest photograph of the student along with the application form.
        
   16. Admission will only be confirmed after verification of Originals Testimonials along with Bank Challan in the college office. Verification will be over after stamping the college seal on the back side of original marksheet.
        
   17. Optional - It is desirable that students seeking admission in the 1st Year classes should opt for training programmes conducted by the Centre for Career Development & Placement Cell of the college in: 1) Communication Skills Development & Aptitude - Maths & Reasoning.; 2) Aptitude and relevant Soft Skills - Interview Fitness; 3) Placement opportunity & Relevant Training (Max. One option) [Basic Generic Training is common for all enrolled students] . Students opting for such courses will have to pay Rs.2000/- one time total course fee for all the Three Years.
   18. Enrolled students will have to ensure their regular presence from the beginning of first year classes or properly inform the college authority in case of prolonged absence, failing which his/her admission will be treated as cancelled.
        
   19. Medium of instruction in Honours Classes – Principally English, except vernacular languages.
        
   20. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION TO SEEK ADMISSION IN 1ST YEAR B.A./B.Sc./B.COM/BBA. (Hons. & GENERAL) COURSES WILL BE GUIDED AS PER THE WEST BENGAL STATE UNIVERSITY GUIDELINE.
        
   21. APPLICATION FORM will be issued to S.C. and S.T. Candidates who have passed in the previous qualifying examination and fulfilling University minimum requirement. Admission in Reserved seats will be allowed as per Govt. Rules & only on the basis of submission of original certificate (SC/ST/OBC). Students belonging to ST/SC/OBC/PWD should furnish their respective certificates supplied by the authority not below the rank of S.D.O. A student not having Caste Certificate but having the acknowledgement slip of application for seeking caste certificate must have to submit Caste Certificate at the time of registration, failing which his/her admission will be cancelled.
        
   22. Claim for Admission will be forfeited after the date of expiry of the Admission / Merit list as will be mentioned in the merit list itself. 
        
   23. Criteria for preparation of merit list for admission in 1st year B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/BBA (Honours. & General) Courses. [The criteria may be relaxed and admission may be taken according to university criteria if there exist vacant seats after exhaustively considering all applicants who possess the college admission criteria.] 
   
   
   24. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and taking up Honours course must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. (University criteria)
        
   25. For General candidates taking up Honours course must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. (University criteria)
        
   26. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years (e.g. any candidate passing on or after 2014 does not require special permission) from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of a recognized regular course of study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Those desirous to do so may seek special permission from University authorities which may be granted on recommendation of the Principal / TIC of the concerned college, subject to availability of seats after the general admissions are over.
        
   27. All admissions are valid only for one academic year (July – June), and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.
        
   28. Documents to be submitted in the college office after verification:
       1. Original & Photocopy of Migration Certificate (for migrating students only).
       2. Photocopy of H.S. or equivalent Mark sheet & also Admit Card (for Migrating students).
       3. Four copies of Stamp-sized photograph.
       4. Photocopy of Caste & PWD certificate (if any), duly attested.
