The Central Library is automated with open source Library Management Software Koha with RFID technologies. There are 61000+ printed books & 46 journals in the library on array of subjects and discipline. There are good collection of encyclopaedias and other references books for the benefit of the stake holders. The bibliographic information is accessible through WebOPAC of the library.
The Library is member of N - LIST (National Library and Information Services infrastructure for Scholarly Content) consortium of INFLIBNET through which the members of the library can access 6300+ ejournals and 1,00,000 ebooks. More over the Library is subscribing IEEE Journals in electronic forms. The Library is a part of NPTel (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), an initiative of IITs & IISc to enhance the quality of education in the country by developing curriculum based video and web courses. The Library is Institutional Member of BCL, Kolkata.
There are Departmental Libraries in each department for the students of concerned departments.
The College Library is spread in two campuses as well as the hostel. The Central Library is located in the Science Campus and catering to the students of Science Faculty, both UG & PG. The Arts & Commerce students are mostly catered from the Arts & Commerce Campus. Each Department has departmental library to support its students.

Library organizes regular orientation programme at the beginning of the new session for the new students of the College. It also provides need based reference and bibliographic services to the students and teachers. |
The Library is connected with The British Council Library, Kolkata. The Library is centrally located at 16 Camac Street and is well connected to all parts of the city and its outskirts via public transport. In a city known for its reading culture the library remains a major draw for the people of Kolkata. In addition to books, physical and online, it also offers a wide collection of CDs and DVDs and provides opportunities for development through workshops for members of all age.

The Indian National Academy is the apex body of the Indian scientists representing all branches of science & technology. Its objectives encompass promotion of science in India including its application to national welfare, afeguarding the interests of the scientists, establishing linkages with international bodies to foster collaboration and expressing considered opinion on national issues. The Academy was established on 7th January 1935, as the National Institute Of Sciences Of India, in Calcutta, in the premises of the Asiatic Society with Sir Lewis Fermor as the founder President (1935-36).Prof. Meghnad Saha was elected as the first Indian President (1937-38). To promote the intellectual scientific output of the country is dessimianted through its publications. |
NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Science and humanities streams. The mission of NPTEL is to enhance the quality of Engineering education in the country by providing free online courseware. The standalone version of these lectures are available with respective departments.
